Iran suspends talks with US over Israeli crimes in Lebanon

Iran has suspended its indirect talks with the United States through a mediator, according to a report by Tasnim news agency. The decision comes in protest against what Tehran describes as continuing crimes by the Israeli regime in Lebanon. Iranian officials stated that the ceasefire in Lebanon, which was a precondition for the talks, has been violated on all fronts.

The Iranian negotiating team has halted the dialogues and exchange of texts via the mediator. Iranian officials and negotiators have emphasized the immediate cessation of Israeli operations in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied areas in Lebanon. They declared that no talks will take place until Iran and the resistance agree on these matters.

Furthermore, the report indicated that the Resistance Front and Iran are determined to completely block the Strait of Hormuz and activate other fronts, including the Bab al-Mandab Strait, to punish the Zionists and their supporters. The move escalates tensions in the region, as Iran signals its readiness to use strategic chokepoints in response to Israeli actions.

According to Mehr News, the suspension of talks reflects Iran's firm stance against Israeli aggression and its commitment to supporting the resistance in Lebanon and Gaza. The report by Tasnim added that the decision was made in coordination with the Resistance Front.
