The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a strike on Amazon infrastructure in Bahrain, according to a statement from its public relations office. The attack was carried out by the IRGC's aerospace forces as part of the 24th wave of "Operation Nasr 2." The operation was described as a response to "the aggression and violation by the child-killing American army against the under-construction and civilian facilities at Darkhovin." The statement added that further reports on the operation would be provided accordingly.

This strike follows a U.S. missile attack on the Darkhovin nuclear power plant on Sunday. The Darkhovin plant is under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Iran's ambassador to the United Nations has called on the Security Council to condemn the U.S. strike on the nuclear facility.

The targeting of a major U.S. corporate data infrastructure in Bahrain marks a significant expansion in the scope of Iranian retaliatory operations. Amazon Web Services (AWS) operates data centers in Bahrain, which are part of the company's global cloud infrastructure. The IRGC's action indicates a shift towards targeting economic and technological assets of the United States and its allies.

According to Mehr News Agency, the IRGC's statement did not provide details on the extent of damage or casualties. The situation remains tense as Iran continues to retaliate against what it perceives as U.S. aggression. The international community is closely watching the developments, with concerns over further escalation in the region.
