Iran Sets Conditions for Ending War, Reaches Understanding with Oman on Hormuz Routes

Esmail Baghaei, the spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed the latest developments in negotiations between Iran and the United States. He stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has clearly and firmly outlined its considerations and conditions for ending what it describes as the imposed war on all fronts and for restoring security to the Persian Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz. Baghaei added that the necessary response to the other side's proposals will be delivered through mediators.

Regarding Iran's consultations with Oman, Baghaei said the process has been carried out well. The two sides have agreed on the geographical coordinates of safe inbound and outbound routes in the Strait of Hormuz. They have also reached an understanding on how to reflect this matter at the relevant international body, which he said will be done soon.
