Iran marks National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance, says foreign domination has ended

General Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces and commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said the lessons of November 4, the date of the US Embassy takeover, brought the era of foreign domination to an end. He made the remarks in a message issued on Tuesday marking Aban 13, which is observed in Iran as the National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance.

In the message, the general described Iran as the world's fourth emerging pole of power. He linked this assessment in particular to what he called the Third War, a 40-day war that he said was imposed jointly by the United States and Israel against the country on February 28.

Earlier on Tuesday, General Abdollahi had warned that the enemy's tangible and intangible assets are within reach of the powerful Iranian forces. He issued that warning in his capacity as commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.

The occasion of Aban 13 is tied in Iran to the anniversary of the 1979 US Embassy takeover and is officially marked as the National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance. Official statements on the day typically address relations with the United States and what Iranian officials describe as foreign pressure on the country.

According to Mehr News, the message was carried as part of the outlet's coverage of the occasion, which also included the general's earlier warning about enemy assets being within reach of Iranian forces.
