Iran Deputy FM Gharibabadi says Tehran seeks constructive ties with neighbors, calls US forces a source of instability

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi said Iran seeks constructive relations with its neighbors, but described the presence of American forces in the region as a cause of insecurity and instability. He made the remarks during a visit to Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, in the southern province of Hormozgan.

Gharibabadi said documents related to the attack on Minab Elementary School have been gathered and that the legal case is being pursued in international bodies and foreign courts. He emphasized that the government is following up the legal case through those channels.

According to the report, the United States and Israel jointly waged what it described as an unprovoked war of aggression on February 28, which led to the killing of more than 170 schoolchildren and managers of Minab Elementary School.

The deputy foreign minister's comments combined Iran's stated desire for constructive neighborly relations with its criticism of US military presence in the region. He also highlighted the ongoing legal efforts related to the school attack.

According to Mehr News, Gharibabadi made these statements during his visit to the school in Minab, where he reiterated that the government is pursuing the legal case in international bodies and foreign courts.
