Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and South Korea's Foreign Minister held a telephone conversation on Tuesday, during which they exchanged views on bilateral relations, recent regional and international developments, and the US-Israeli war of aggression imposed against Iran.
Araghchi briefed his South Korean counterpart on the latest status of negotiations between Iran and the United States, progress made in the implementation of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), and consultations held within the framework of the agreement.
The South Korean foreign minister welcomed the understanding reached between Iran and the United States, reaffirming his country's unwavering support for diplomatic efforts aimed at safeguarding peace and stability in the West Asia region, as well as ensuring safe shipping and maritime security.
The two top diplomats also reviewed the latest bilateral, regional, and international developments, emphasizing the need to continue political consultations and expand joint cooperation.
According to Mehr News, the phone call highlighted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing regional challenges and strengthening bilateral ties between Iran and South Korea.
