Iran pursues legal action against US, Israel for war crimes

Iran's Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei has announced that Iran is pursuing legal action against the United States and Israel for war crimes committed during two imposed wars of aggression against the country over the past year. Speaking at a meeting with a group of international lawyers and legal experts involved in pursuing war crimes cases, Ejei stated that Iran seeks broader cooperation with legal professionals worldwide to advance efforts aimed at prosecuting those responsible for crimes against the Iranian people.

Ejei emphasized that the Iranian Judiciary is committed to pursuing these cases through all available legal channels. "The perpetrators must be punished in proportion to the crimes they have committed and must also pay compensation," the top judge said. He called on international lawyers and legal experts to cooperate with Iran, suggesting that coordinated legal efforts could open "a new chapter" in the prosecution of war criminals.

The Judiciary chief acknowledged the challenges posed by the influence of major powers within international institutions but affirmed that Iran would continue pursuing the cases until those responsible are held accountable. According to Mehr News, the meeting highlighted Iran's determination to seek justice through legal means despite obstacles.
