Iran says it has prepared a more devastating plan for any new military adventure

Major General Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), said on Sunday that Iran's Armed Forces have prepared a more devastating plan for any new military adventure than those used in the 12-day and 40-day wars, according to a post on his X account.

Rezaei wrote that repeated threats and inflammatory rhetoric from US and Israeli officials will not change the reality on the ground. He emphasized that Iran's new operational plan will not follow the rules with which its adversaries are familiar.

The statement referred to the 12-day war and the 40-day war, framing the current plan as exceeding the measures used in those conflicts. The post did not provide further operational details.

The remarks come amid heightened tensions involving the United States and Israel, and follow previous US attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. Rezaei's comments were posted on his X account and were carried by Mehr News Agency, which reported the statement and the general's emphasis that the new plan would differ from earlier operations.
