In a message posted in English on his X account, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf emphasized Iran's preference for diplomacy while warning of other options. He wrote: "We prefer the language of diplomacy, but we speak other languages far more fluently." Ghalibaf stressed that Iran would respond accordingly if the other side violated its obligations, stating: "If you break your commitments, we will resort to the language that we know best." He concluded his message with a proverb: "You will ride the horse that you have saddled yourself." The remarks come amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States over the nuclear deal and regional issues. According to Mehr News, Ghalibaf's statement underscores Iran's stance that while diplomatic engagement is preferred, the country is prepared to take stronger measures if necessary.
