SaveIran warns US against interference in Strait of Hormuz
Speaking during Friday prayers in Tehran, interim Friday Prayers Leader of Tehran Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabi-Fard addressed the flagrant violation of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States by US officials. He emphasized that US officials violated the understanding structure with unilateral actions and criminal attacks, committing gross war crimes. Aboutorabi-Fard clarified that the MoU was not based on trust in the US, but rather a commitment-for-commitment mechanism. He stated that Iran is more resolute than ever in defending its national interests and the rights of its allies in the region.
The cleric thanked Iran's Armed Forces, including the Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), for exercising sovereignty over the strategic Strait of Hormuz and ensuring its security in line with regional interests. He reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not allow the United States to interfere in the affairs of the Strait of Hormuz under any circumstances. Aboutorabi-Fard noted that over the past four months, the US military used all its capacity to take control of the Strait of Hormuz from Iran's Armed Forces but experienced bitter defeat in all operations, suffering great losses. He asserted that American forces did not achieve their objectives in the battlefield during the past 120 days, and today the initiative lies with Iran and the Axis of Resistance.
The senior cleric also referred to the magnificent farewell and funeral ceremonies held for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and his family members in Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala, and Mashhad. He stated that these rituals demonstrated the authority of Islamic Iran and the Axis of Resistance on the international stage. Aboutorabi-Fard added that the freedom-seeking people of the world, especially the brotherly nations of Iran and Iraq, created an amazing and unparalleled presence in the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader.
