SaveIRGC General Says Iran's Military Power Increased During Ceasefire
Brigadier General Mohebbi, Deputy Head of Public Relations of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), rejected US claims about the weakened military capability of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Speaking during a ceremony on Tuesday, he stated, "During this period, the country's combat capability has not decreased by any means. Contrary to the claims made, neither the Islamic Republic of Iran's Navy has been destroyed nor has the country's operational capability decreased."
He further argued that the best evidence of Iran's sustained military strength is that the United States, despite deploying extensive capabilities on land, sea, and air, was unable to take the Strait of Hormuz out of Iran's control even for a few minutes. "The US entered the battlefield with very extensive capabilities to create the conditions it wanted in the Strait of Hormuz, but it failed to achieve its goals," Mohebbi added.
The IRGC general emphasized that during the ceasefire period, Iran's military and operational capability actually increased. "The opportunity created was used to improve combat capability, strengthen preparations, and make up for damages, and today our armed forces are in a better position than in the past," he said.
According to Mehr News, the remarks come amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the US, with Washington accusing Tehran of supporting militant groups and destabilizing the region. Iran has consistently denied such allegations and maintains that its military developments are defensive in nature.
