Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has described the bond between Iran and Iraq as "historic and unbreakable," built on brotherhood during the hardest days, resistance to foreign interference, and belief in a shared destiny.
In a message written in Arabic on social media on the eve of a strategic visit to Iraq, Ghalibaf stated, "This instructive past will guide the future. On this trip, we will take practical and significant steps to consolidate the endogenous and shared security of the two countries and the welfare of the two nations."
He concluded the message with the hashtag "Our brotherhood is our strength."
The visit is expected to focus on bilateral relations, regional security, and economic cooperation. According to Mehr News Agency, the trip underscores the deep ties between the two neighboring countries, which have historically shared close political, religious, and cultural connections.
