Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his French counterpart held a telephone conversation on Tuesday to discuss the implementation of the Islamabad peace deal and the process aimed at ending what Tehran describes as the U.S.-Israeli imposed war, according to an Iranian foreign ministry readout.
The two ministers reviewed the status of the peace agreement and the ongoing diplomatic efforts. No further details of the conversation were immediately released.
The call is part of a series of diplomatic contacts by Araghchi in recent days. He has held talks with the foreign ministers of Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Britain, and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Araghchi visited Baghdad on Sunday, where he proposed a region-led collective security mechanism for the Persian Gulf region.
According to Mehr News Agency, the discussions reflect Iran's active diplomacy to address regional tensions and advance the peace process outlined in the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
