Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met with Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Tehran on Saturday, according to Mehr News. The meeting comes amid Pakistan's ongoing mediation efforts between Iran and the United States.
Naqvi arrived in Tehran carrying a special message from Pakistan's Army Chief of Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei. Prior to his visit to Tehran, Naqvi participated in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. After returning to Islamabad, he held talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other senior Pakistani officials.
During his stay in Tehran, Naqvi also met with Iran's Interior Minister, Eskandar Momeni, to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues. The visit underscores Pakistan's role as a mediator in reducing tensions between Iran and the United States.
