Iran FM Araghchi meets counterparts on UNGA sidelines in New York

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met with several of his counterparts on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, according to Mehr News Agency (MNA). During the meetings, the top diplomats exchanged views on a host of issues, including bilateral ties, the latest developments in the region and issues of mutual interest.

Araghchi held talks with Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev, British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, Foreign Minister of Portugal Paulo Rangel, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Foreign Minister of Brunei Prince Abdul Mateen ibni Hassanal Bolkiah and Foreign Minister of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos.

The discussions took place as world leaders and foreign ministers gathered in New York for the annual UN General Assembly session. The meetings covered regional and international topics of shared concern, though specific outcomes were not disclosed in the report.

According to Mehr News Agency, the Iranian foreign minister used the occasion to engage with a wide range of counterparts, reflecting Iran's continued diplomatic outreach at the multilateral gathering.
