Iran has exported 50 million barrels of crude oil since the lifting of a US-imposed blockade two weeks ago, according to Tanker Trackers. The monitoring group reported on its X account that this equates to 1.66 million barrels per day for June 2026, adding that most other countries in the region are still far from pre-war production levels.
The blockade was lifted under a memorandum of understanding signed by the United States and Iran on June 17. Following the agreement, the US Treasury issued a 60-day authorization permitting the production and sale of Iranian crude through August 21.
Experts estimate that Iran's income from the export of 50 million barrels of oil, based on prices over the last two weeks, will reach about $3.5 billion. This means Iran has earned an average of more than $233 million per day from crude sales.
Earlier, Iranian Parliament Speaker and head of Iran's negotiating team Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated in a television interview regarding oil sales: "The removal of oil sanctions has been done and we are selling oil at a 20 percent higher price."
According to Mehr News, the report by Tanker Trackers highlighted the rapid increase in Iran's oil exports following the US sanctions waiver.
