Major General Amir Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army, met with Mehrdad Akhlaghi, CEO of the Defence Industries Organisation of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics, at the Army Headquarters in Tehran. During the meeting, General Hatami commended the defense industry's personnel for maintaining production throughout the 12-day and Ramadan wars.
General Hatami said that despite enemy efforts to halt the production chain of military equipment and weapons, the managers and staff of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics, with firm determination, prevented the enemies' objectives from being achieved. He emphasized that even under the most critical conditions of what he described as the criminal enemy's aggression, defense industry production lines did not pause for a moment.
The army commander noted that the recent imposed war demonstrated that Iran's indigenous defense industry—which he attributed to the measures of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution—has been and will continue to be a true supporter and backer of Iranian forces on the battlefield. He described Mehrdad Akhlaghi as a well-known and experienced figure in the defense industry.
General Hatami also stated that the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran is striving to make the most of the country's thriving, dynamic, and capable defense industry to strengthen its power and enhance its combat and defensive capabilities.
Akhlaghi, for his part, expressed appreciation for the cooperation and synergy of the Army during his tenure at the Defence Industries Organisation. He affirmed that the organisation and its industrial complex are prepared to expand cooperation and interaction with all four branches of the Iranian Army, utilizing their full capacity and strength to enhance defensive readiness and meet the requirements of the armed forces.
According to Mehr News, the meeting underscored the ongoing collaboration between Iran's military and defense industrial sectors amid regional tensions.
