Iran Army Commander Says Enemy Defeated in 12-Day and Ramadan Wars

In a ceremony commemorating the sixth anniversary of the awarding of the Medal of Dedication to the Imam Ali (a.s.) Officers' Academy and honoring the families of martyrs of the Ramadan War, Major General Amir Hatami, the commander of the Iranian Army, delivered remarks on the country's military achievements.

He emphasized that the army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) land and naval forces were deployed along the southern coast to protect the country from enemy aggression. According to Hatami, the enemy did not dare to approach Iranian shores during the wars of aggression imposed by the United States and Israel against Iran.

The general elaborated on the dimensions of the imposed wars, specifically referencing two conflicts: one that began on June 13, 2025, and another on February 28, 2026. He stated that the Armed Forces defended the country with their utmost power and strength in both conflicts.

Hatami noted that the enemy had explicitly declared strategic goals including forcing Iran to surrender, destroying the Islamic Republic's military power, and even altering Iran's map. However, he asserted that none of these malicious objectives have been achieved. He highlighted the enemy's defeat in the 12-Day War and the Ramadan War, claiming that the enemy begged for a ceasefire during those days.

Concluding his remarks, Hatami stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran now shines more than ever on the international stage and that the country's borders are stronger than ever. According to Mehr News, the ceremony also honored the families of martyrs from the Ramadan War.
