Iran Army Spokesperson Says Enemy Miscalculated, Iran Foiled Its War Goals

Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, spokesperson for the Iranian Army, said the enemy was caught off guard due to numerous miscalculations regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran's military capabilities across various software and hardware domains. He made the remarks in reference to the US and Israeli war of aggression waged against Iran on February 28.

Akraminia stated that by benefiting from the experiences gained in the previous war and changing warfare methods and tactics, the country's powerful Armed Forces enhanced their deterrence capabilities and their approach to confronting threats. He underlined that today the Iranian Army Force possesses a significantly higher level of deterrence than in the past.

The spokesman pointed to operations conducted by the Armed Forces against positions of counter-revolutionary and separatist groups in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region as examples of preemptive warfare aimed at seizing the initiative and deterring the enemy from taking any action. He added that these measures and preemptive operations have entirely been within the framework of international law and the UN Charter, as they adhered to the principles of proportionality, immediacy, and necessity.
