Iran condemns Netanyahu's visit to UAE, warns of regional consequences

Iran's Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Wednesday strongly condemning the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the United Arab Emirates, describing him as a "child-killing and warmongering prime minister of the Zionist regime." The ministry warned of "very dangerous consequences" arising from the presence of the "occupying regime" in the region.

The statement said the trip comes at a time when West Asia is at one of its most fragile and sensitive historical junctures, citing what it called the Israeli regime's military aggression against Iran and its escalation of occupation and genocide in Islamic lands, especially Palestine and Lebanon. It described Netanyahu as "a criminal whose hands are stained with the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent people and who is wanted by international courts," calling his presence highly dangerous and alarming.

"Undoubtedly, given the proven enmity and hostility of the Zionist regime towards Iran and other countries in the region, and the regime's repeated threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran, all countries in the region must be aware of the consequences and repercussions of such a presence, which threatens the collective peace and security of the region," the statement said.

The ministry added that regional security is a collective and indivisible matter, and that any move that paves the way for the entry of destabilizing actors into the region will ultimately harm all regional countries, leading to division and further insecurity and instability in West Asia. It called on regional governments to understand their responsibility towards regional peace and stability, to refrain from providing the ground for what it termed the destructive presence of the Zionist regime, and not to allow the territory of regional countries to become a platform for destabilizing actions against other countries in the region.

According to Mehr News, the statement reflects Iran's ongoing opposition to Israel's regional engagements and its concerns over shifting alliances in the Middle East.
