SaveIranian official says Iran won by shifting war costs to US after midterms
Mohammad Mokhber, an advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated on Wednesday in a post on his X account that Iran emerged victorious by shifting the costs of war to the United States. The post referred to the results of the US congressional midterm elections.
In his post, Mokhber wrote that former US President Donald Trump made every possible effort to ensure his party's victory but received what he described as a slap in the face from his own people. Mokhber asserted that the true victor in this arena was Iran, which he said shifted the cost of the war to within the United States.
He further stated that the continuation of Trump's failed policy will, by virtue of the blood of the martyrs and at the hands of the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front, cause the remainder of America's standing to be squandered.
According to Mehr News, the comments come amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States, and reflect Iranian officials' reactions to US political developments.
