Iran Army Vows Revenge for US Attack on Barracks in Sistan and Baluchestan

Iran's Army ground forces public relations office has condemned a US attack on a military barracks in Iran's southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, vowing revenge for the incident. The army described the attack as a "terrorist" act by the "American army" and stated that passive defense measures and precautionary steps taken had prevented a higher casualty toll, despite the scale and intensity of the strike, which it said was designed to inflict maximum human losses.

Seven personnel were martyred and a number of others were wounded and are receiving treatment. The army expressed condolences to the families of the "martyred fighters" and to the Iranian nation, and said security along the borders would be maintained.

"The revenge for the pure blood of the martyrs of this crime is certain and imminent," the statement said. "The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with God's help and alongside other armed forces, will deliver a decisive response to this aggressor action by the American enemy."

According to Mehr News Agency, the attack targeted a facility in Sistan and Baluchestan province, a region that has seen occasional cross-border incidents. The Iranian army's statement did not provide details on the type of US attack or the exact location of the barracks. The report added that the army is committed to maintaining border security and will respond to the attack.
