The CEO of Iran Air, Taher Abdolhay, announced that Tehran-Kabul-Mashhad-Tehran flights will resume as of October 23 of the current year. The announcement was made during a statement emphasizing the resumption of the route.

Abdolhay also addressed the global rise in fuel prices, noting that fuel is one of the most significant economic challenges for airlines. He stated that rising costs, including those for fuel, employee salaries, and airport services, have placed considerable pressure on the financial resources of airline companies.

Furthermore, Abdolhay highlighted that Iran Air has $30 million in outstanding claims from foreign airlines, including Gulf Air, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and others, for the provision of ground handling, catering, and other services. He stated that due to sanctions imposed against the country and the freezing of bank accounts, it is currently impossible for Iran Air to collect these dues from these carriers.

According to Mehr News, the resumption of the Tehran-Kabul-Mashhad-Tehran route is scheduled for October 23, and the airline continues to face financial challenges amid rising operational costs and international sanctions.
