Iran arrests 14 US-Israeli mercenaries in Ilam province

The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence announced on Saturday that its forces have arrested 14 mercenaries and three leaders of unrest in Ilam province, who were part of a sabotage network linked to the United States and Israel. According to a statement, the arrests were made through continuous efforts by intelligence personnel and with the help of public reports. The General Intelligence Directorate of Ilam identified and detained 17 individuals accused of betraying the homeland and collaborating with the American-Zionist enemy. During the operation, authorities confiscated three TNT cartridges, a Kalashnikov rifle, a grenade, and a large number of other weapons, including machetes. The statement did not provide further details about the identities of the arrested individuals or the timing of the operation. The report by Mehr News Agency added that the arrests highlight ongoing security operations in the region.
