Speaking at the Fourth National Ceremony for Honoring Activists of the country's mosques, Hojjat al-Islam Hossein Taeb, the chief of the Basij Organization, said that the global map of power is currently changing. He noted that the ceremony is being held at a time when the Global Arrogance, led by the United States and Israel, after suffering a severe defeat from Iran on various fronts, has tried to pave its way by hitting the pillars of the resistance.
Referring to the recent war and the enemy's behavior, Taeb said that the cruel enemy entered the war with Iran using all its military and propaganda power, but when it saw that the Iranian nation would not back down, it was forced to request a ceasefire and then negotiate. He emphasized the high power of the country's Armed Forces, stating that their crushing operations revealed the weaknesses of the US military to the world. He described the US army as one that, with a huge budget and all intelligence and operational capabilities, thought it could finish off Iran in a short time.
Taeb underlined that not only did the Iranian nation and Armed Forces not weaken in the recent war, but it was the enemy that was forced to retreat, cease fire, and negotiate. He also commented on the recent positions of US President Donald Trump, saying that the enemy's current trend is a downward one, and that Trump's rhetoric is out of desperation, not initiative. He added that domestic US polls show that a large portion of the American people consider war with Iran a big mistake.
The event was reported by Mehr News Agency, which covered Taeb's remarks in detail. According to the report, the ceremony honored activists of mosques across the country, highlighting the role of religious institutions in Iran's social and political life.
