Iran's Parliament Speaker Meets Iraq's Judicial Council Chief in Baghdad

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf met with the head of Iraq's Judicial Council in Baghdad on Wednesday, as part of his official visit to Iraq. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including bilateral relations, matters of mutual interest, and ways to strengthen cooperation in the judicial field.

Ghalibaf arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday morning at the head of a parliamentary delegation for talks on bilateral relations, border security, counter-terrorism, and economic cooperation. The visit is being made at the invitation of Iraq's parliament speaker.

The Iranian delegation includes Mohammad Taghi Naghdali, head of the Iran-Iraq parliamentary friendship group, as well as Mahdi Fallah, Shahin Jahanigiri, and Sara Fallahi.

The meeting with the Judicial Council chief underscores the importance both countries place on judicial cooperation as part of their broader bilateral ties. The discussions are expected to continue during the delegation's stay in Baghdad.

According to Mehr News Agency, the visit aims to enhance cooperation between Iran and Iraq in various fields, with a focus on mutual interests and regional stability.
