Iran general warns of new resistance security belt from Hormuz to Red Sea

General Esmail Gha'ani, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, stated on Monday that a new security belt of resistance will be established from the Strait of Hormuz to the Bab al-Mandab strait and from the Persian Gulf to the Red Sea. He made the remarks in a post on his social media networking website, following Iran's punitive operations against the Zionist regime.

"The timely and authoritative action of the heroic Yemeni is a sign of the smartness of the Resistance Front. If necessary, others will also come," Gha'ani added. He further warned: "The sinister acts of the Zionist regime and the United States in this region will result in a response from the United Resistance Front. Fighters without borders are watching you. If you continue to attack, they will squeeze your throats."

The comments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with Iran and its allies frequently threatening to disrupt shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab strait, key chokepoints for global oil and trade. The IRGC Quds Force commander's statement signals an expanded security posture by the so-called Axis of Resistance, which includes Iran, Yemen's Ansarallah movement, and other allied groups.
