Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, stated that Iran views the recent U.S. actions as military aggression against the country. He emphasized that "this aggression will receive an appropriate response from Iran." Gharibabadi also noted that the armed forces have proven they will respond decisively and appropriately to any action against Iran's territorial integrity at any level.
He further asserted that "the foothold of foreigners must be cut off from the region, and they must learn serious lessons so they do not repeat their aggressions." These remarks were made in the context of a U.S. attack on Iran's Larak island on Sunday night, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of several Iranian military forces and civilians. In response, Iranian forces attacked U.S. military bases in Jordan and the UAE.
According to Mehr News Agency (MNA), Gharibabadi's comments underscore Iran's stance against foreign military presence in the region and its commitment to defending its territorial integrity. The deputy foreign minister's statements reflect a firm position that foreign forces should not maintain a foothold in the region, and that any aggression will be met with a decisive response.
