Iran judiciary chief says fighting arrogant powers is a permanent duty

Hojjatoleslam Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, the head of Iran's judiciary, said that fighting global arrogance is a permanent duty, speaking at a ceremony at the holy shrine of Imam Reza in Mashhad. He said the struggle against arrogant powers is not a topic that is discussed once or a few times and then forgotten, but has existed since the beginning of man's creation.

Ejei said the first arrogant person was Satan, who showed disobedience toward God's command. He referred to God's response to Satan's request, saying that God announced to Satan that he would not have power over sincere and guided servants, but those who follow him and take his path will face divine punishment. The head of the judiciary also referred to the fate of Satan as the first arrogant person in history, stating that God expelled Satan from His presence and Heaven and decreed a painful punishment for him. Satan has since been trying to mislead humans and prevent them from the path of righteousness and servitude to God, Ejei added.

Emphasizing the necessity of combating global arrogance, Ejei stated that anyone who values human dignity, the establishment of justice, and the cultivation of human virtues must, as dictated by reason, oppose global arrogance and the arrogant powers. He said these forces, through crimes, betrayal, deception, and the violation of their own commitments, seek to dominate nations and trample upon human rights.

Pointing to the atrocities committed by arrogant powers worldwide, most notably the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, Ejei said that today a movement is murdering thousands of people in Gaza, while the world's major powers either remain silent in the face of these crimes or actively support them. He asked whether the matter would end even if that movement were to assume it succeeds in achieving its objectives. The head of the judiciary continued that from experience one can say that the 'Great Satan' and other arrogant powers do not adhere to any of their promises or commitments and cannot be trusted.

According to Mehr News, the remarks were made at a ceremony held at the holy shrine of Imam Reza in Mashhad, where Ejei addressed the National Day Against Global Arrogance and the broader context of what he described as war on Iran.
