TEHRAN, Jul. 04 (MNA) – The farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is underway at Tehran’s Grand Mosalla of Imam Khomeini (RA) with the participation of people from various walks of life.

The event, which began on the morning of July 4, has drawn large crowds of mourners who have gathered to pay their final respects. The Mosalla, a major prayer and congregation site in the Iranian capital, is hosting the ceremony which includes recitations from the Quran, eulogies, and prayers.

Ayatollah Khamenei, who served as the second Supreme Leader of Iran, passed away recently. His leadership spanned decades, during which he played a pivotal role in shaping Iran's domestic and foreign policies. The ceremony is expected to continue throughout the day, with officials and dignitaries also expected to attend.

According to Mehr News Agency, the farewell ceremony marks the beginning of a series of memorial events planned across the country to honor the late leader's legacy.
