Iran FM Araghchi confirms ongoing message exchange with US

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi confirmed on Sunday that the exchange of messages between Iran and the United States is ongoing. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting chaired by President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran, Araghchi emphasized that all current speculations about the talks are insignificant and should not be taken seriously. He stated, "The exchange of messages is ongoing, but until it reaches a specific result, it cannot be judged." The minister urged the public and media to avoid paying attention to unconfirmed reports until certainty is achieved. The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the region, including Israeli aggression and discussions about a naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. According to Mehr News, Araghchi's comments reflect the cautious approach of the Iranian government in handling diplomatic communications with the United States.
