Iran's president says enemies cannot force surrender through war threats

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Monday that war cannot compel Iran to surrender, emphasizing the importance of strengthening public resilience and addressing livelihood-related concerns. He made these remarks during a meeting with provincial governors and mayors of major cities in Tehran.

Pezeshkian stressed that the challenges and crises currently imposed on the country by its enemies must be overcome through the cooperation and support of the people. He said, "We are striving to resolve these issues through dialogue; in this regard, the Leader has also granted the government certain authorities." He added that no one benefits from war and asserted, "Our enemies cannot force Iran to surrender through war. We stand firmly against their lies and excessive demands. Therefore, we must work to bolster the people's resilience and alleviate their concerns and anxieties."

The president's comments come amid ongoing tensions and what Iranian officials describe as external pressures on the country. Pezeshkian's call for public resilience and attention to livelihood issues underscores the government's focus on domestic stability and dialogue as a means to address challenges.

According to Mehr News, the meeting with provincial governors and mayors was part of efforts to coordinate responses to current crises and to emphasize the role of public cooperation in overcoming difficulties.
