A cargo vessel was struck by an unidentified projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, according to a report by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO). The vessel's security officer said the ship was hit, after which it caught fire and was drifting out of control.

All crew members were evacuated from the vessel, and two casualties were reported. The UKMTO said authorities are investigating the incident. No environmental impact has been reported at this time.
