Esmail Baghaei, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, condemned the Dutch police for their violent attack on a pregnant Palestinian woman. In a post on his personal social media account, Baghaei shared a video clip published by Al Jazeera TV showing a Dutch police officer violently throwing a Palestinian man's pregnant wife to the ground and dragging her along.
Baghaei described the behavior as "extremely barbaric and unjustifiable," stating that there is no excuse for the police to violently attack a pregnant woman simply because she wanted to stay with her arrested Palestinian husband. He called on the Dutch authorities to pursue this blatant violation of human rights and hold the perpetrators accountable.
The Iranian spokesman further noted that such violence is a sign of dogmatism and systematic discrimination within the country's police structure. The incident has drawn widespread condemnation from various human rights organizations and activists.
According to a report by Mehr News Agency, the video clip has sparked outrage on social media, with many users calling for an investigation into the actions of the Dutch police. The Dutch government has not yet officially responded to the allegations.
