Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Wednesday. During the meeting, the two top diplomats exchanged views on a range of issues, including bilateral relations, recent regional and international developments, and matters of mutual interest.
The visit was announced earlier by Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Baghaei stated that the trip takes place within the framework of ongoing consultations between Iran and Armenia aimed at expanding bilateral relations and strengthening regional peace and security.
During his stay in Tehran, the Armenian foreign minister is scheduled to meet with senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The discussions are expected to focus on ways to develop and expand bilateral cooperation between Tehran and Yerevan, as well as regional cooperation in the South Caucasus.
According to Mehr News, the meeting is part of continued diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring countries.
