Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has warned the United States that any violation of the ceasefire in Lebanon would be considered a breach of the broader ceasefire between Iran and the US. In a post on X on Monday, Araghchi stated, "For immediate attention: The ceasefire between Iran and the US is unequivocally a ceasefire on all fronts, including in Lebanon. Its violation on one front is a violation of the ceasefire on all fronts." He added, "The US and Israel are responsible for the consequences of any violation."
The warning comes in response to continued violations of the ceasefire by the Zionist regime in southern Lebanon. According to reports, the Lebanese Islamic Resistance Hezbollah has carried out operations against the Zionist enemy in retaliation, displacing many settlers to other occupied towns. Local media in the occupied territories controlled by the Israeli regime have admitted to the failure of the Zionist regime's army in its operations against Hezbollah. Observers note that the regime's army is engaged in a war of attrition.
The Zionist regime has also threatened to target Beirut, which would be a violation of the ceasefire between Lebanon and the Zionist regime brokered by the US. The situation remains tense, with both sides accusing each other of violations.
According to Mehr News Agency, Araghchi's statement underscores Iran's position that the ceasefire agreement is comprehensive and applies to all fronts, including Lebanon. The report added that the US and Israel must adhere to the terms of the ceasefire to avoid further escalation.
