Iran's Araghchi Meets German Counterpart on UN General Assembly Sidelines

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with his German counterpart on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, according to a report by Mehr News Agency. The meeting is part of a broader schedule of diplomatic engagements by the Iranian foreign minister during the annual UN gathering.

On the first day of the General Assembly meetings, Araghchi held talks with the foreign ministers of Switzerland, Italy, France, Austria, the Netherlands, Belarus, Greece, Iraq and Qatar. He also met with Norway's deputy foreign minister and the European Union's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas.

In a separate meeting, Araghchi held discussions with Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin, also on the sidelines of the UN session. The talks with the Tajik foreign minister are part of Iran's continued diplomatic outreach to regional and international partners during the UN General Assembly.

The 81st session of the UN General Assembly has brought together world leaders and senior diplomats in New York for a week of high-level meetings. Iran's participation includes a series of bilateral discussions aimed at addressing regional and international issues.

According to Mehr News Agency, the meetings reflect Iran's active diplomatic engagement at the United Nations, where the foreign minister is scheduled to hold further talks with counterparts from various countries.
