The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Base announced the dismantling of a terrorist team in Saravan, Sistan and Baluchistan Province, southeastern Iran. According to a statement from the IRGC, the team was identified before it could carry out its mission, and four members were killed in clashes with security forces. The statement added that the team was planning to move deeper into Iran's central provinces.
During the operation, a member of the security forces was martyred. The IRGC also confiscated a shipment of weapons, ammunition, equipment, and Starlink satellite devices, which it said were made by the United States and the Zionist regime (Israel). The confiscated items were in the possession of the terrorist team.
The IRGC further noted that intelligence and operational measures have been taken to identify and detain other potential terrorists affiliated with the team, as well as to investigate various aspects of the case. The operation underscores ongoing security efforts in the region, which has seen occasional militant activity. According to Mehr News, the report was filed by MNA/6852962.
