At least five people have been killed in rain-related incidents across Afghanistan, according to Hafiz Mohammad Yusuf Hammad, spokesperson for the Afghan authority. The casualties resulted from flash floods, severe storms, and landslides that struck nine provinces: Kabul, Zabul, Kandahar, Samangan, Takhar, Nangarhar, Laghman, and Kunar.
The disasters also caused significant property damage. Hammad reported that 30 residential houses were either destroyed or partially damaged. Additionally, over 60 kilometers of rural roads were washed away, and 225 acres of agricultural lands were inundated in the affected provinces.
