24 Ships Cross Strait of Hormuz with IRGC Coordination

A total of 24 ships, including oil tankers and commercial cargo vessels, crossed the strategic Strait of Hormuz under the naval protection of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to a statement from the force's public relations office. The statement emphasized that "smart control of the Strait of Hormuz is being carried out with authority, and evil foreigners [enemy forces] will have no place in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz." The crossing highlights Iran's ongoing assertion of control over the vital waterway, through which about a fifth of the world's oil passes. The IRGC Navy has frequently conducted patrols and exercises in the region, underscoring Tehran's ability to monitor and secure the strait. According to Mehr News Agency, the operation was conducted smoothly without any incidents.
