Namaz Times in Sydney

Fajr time in Sydney shifts every day with the local true dawn (subh sadiq), and moves by several hours across the year as the seasons change. Fajr salah must be completed before sunrise. Today's exact time for Sydney is shown in the live table above — it refreshes automatically every day.

In the Shia Jafari method, Maghrib salah — and Iftar during Ramadan — does NOT begin at the moment of sunset. It begins a little later, once the redness has left the eastern sky (the Shari Maghrib), typically about fifteen minutes after sunset. The live table above shows today's exact Shari Maghrib time for Sydney.

Every time on this page uses the Shia Ithna-Ashari (Jafari) calculation method. Because of that, Dhuhr/Asr and Maghrib/Isha can differ slightly from Sunni timetables. The calculation uses Sydney's exact geographic location (latitude and longitude) and its local time zone to produce the daily Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Maghrib and Isha times.

The Sydney timings are sourced from Calculated via Aladhan (Shia Ithna-Ashari / Jafari method) and updated regularly. They are computed for the city's exact latitude, longitude and time zone so that the local Fajr and Maghrib are as accurate as possible — without relying on a generic regional timetable.
