In the Shia Jafari method, Maghrib salah — and Iftar during Ramadan — does NOT begin at the moment of sunset. It begins a little later, once the redness has left the eastern sky (the Shari Maghrib), typically about fifteen minutes after sunset. The live table above shows today's exact Shari Maghrib time for Karachi.

Every time on this page uses the Shia Ithna-Ashari (Jafari) calculation method. Because of that, Dhuhr/Asr and Maghrib/Isha can differ slightly from Sunni timetables. The calculation uses Karachi's exact geographic location (latitude and longitude) and its local time zone to produce the daily Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Maghrib and Isha times.

The Karachi timings are sourced from Calculated via Aladhan (Shia Ithna-Ashari / Jafari method) and updated regularly. They are computed for the city's exact latitude, longitude and time zone so that the local Fajr and Maghrib are as accurate as possible — without relying on a generic regional timetable.
